Vicolo’s grand opening was the most successful grand opening I have witnessed so far. The vibe was incredible. Everything was well organized which reflected the management skills. The interior decor was on point, suitable for a modernized Italian cuisine. That was the only grand opening where I felt “Wow, I want to come back here and have a meal”.
However, that feeling was short-lived as the showcase of their food was left to be desired. For example, the rice in the risotto was still undercooked. This also happened for the ravioli. Most of the cocktails were odd, namely one that tasted like soap.
On a bright note, the charcuterie served on a beautiful buffet was remarkable.
I hope that the food was not representative to their usual standards, or it would a shame to such a beautifully designed restaurant.
